What Our Clients Say
View Project DetailsWe first started working with HUIN on a relatively straightforward glassware project, but over the years the relationship has developed into something much broader. Today, they help us manage several product categories, coordinate different factories, follow production schedules, and consolidate shipments before export. Jasper has been our main point of contact for much of this time, and what I appreciate most is that he doesn't simply pass messages between us and the factory. He understands what we are trying to achieve commercially and usually comes back with practical options rather than just telling us there is a problem. There have been plenty of situations where production schedules changed, packaging needed to be adjusted, or a supplier didn't perform as expected. HUIN has always been willing to get involved directly and work through the issue. For us, they have become much more than a sourcing company. They function as an extension of our procurement team in China.
One of the reasons we continue to work with HUIN is their approach to quality control. On one of our orders, the pre-production samples were good, but during mass production there was a visible difference in finish between several batches. This was the kind of issue that would have been very difficult for us to identify from overseas before the goods arrived. Gkie and the QC team picked it up during inspection and immediately sent us detailed photos and videos. More importantly, they didn't simply report the problem and leave it with us. They worked directly with the supplier to separate the affected pieces, arrange rework, and verify the corrected goods before shipment. That saved us from receiving a container that would almost certainly have resulted in customer complaints. Having someone on the ground who is prepared to challenge the factory when necessary gives us a level of confidence we simply didn't have before.
Our original reason for contacting HUIN was their manufacturing experience in household glassware. At that stage, we had no intention of using them for other products. That changed quite quickly. As Victoria learned more about our business, she started helping us with packaging components, accessories, promotional items, and several products that had nothing to do with glass. What impressed us was that HUIN did not treat every request as a simple 'find the cheapest factory' exercise. They compared different suppliers, looked at production capability, packaging standards, lead time, and how reliable each factory would be for repeat orders. Over time, this allowed us to reduce the number of suppliers we needed to communicate with directly. We still make the final purchasing decisions, of course, but HUIN gives us much better information before we make those decisions. That local insight has become extremely valuable to our team.
We had a project involving products from several factories, all with different production schedules. Some goods were ready early, while others were delayed, and trying to organize the shipment from Europe was becoming increasingly frustrating. Arno took over the coordination and gave us one consolidated schedule showing what was finished, what was still in production, and when each supplier could deliver. HUIN arranged for completed goods to be moved into their consolidation warehouse rather than leaving everything sitting at the factories. They also checked quantities and packaging before the final shipment was assembled. The biggest benefit was not simply saving freight. It was removing the constant daily communication with multiple suppliers. Instead of chasing five or six factories, we had one person giving us a clear answer. That sounds simple, but when you are managing dozens of purchase orders across different countries, it makes a huge difference.
We have worked with several sourcing agencies in China over the years, and HUIN feels different largely because of their manufacturing background. There is a big difference between someone who knows how to send RFQs and someone who understands production. When a factory tells us a certain tolerance is impossible, a tooling change is necessary, or a delivery date cannot be achieved, the HUIN team is able to evaluate whether that explanation makes sense. That has helped us avoid unrealistic promises from suppliers more than once. They are also comfortable discussing technical details directly with production managers rather than relying entirely on salespeople. For our business, that experience matters far more than simply receiving a long list of quotations. We want suppliers who can actually deliver consistently, and HUIN helps us identify the difference.
Quick answers, clear updates, and no unnecessary drama. That is why we keep working with HUIN.
Before working with HUIN, one of our buyers was spending a significant part of every week communicating with different Chinese suppliers. One factory would ask about artwork, another about packaging, another about payment, and another would suddenly announce that production was delayed. Every supplier had their own spreadsheet, their own timeline, and their own way of communicating. HUIN changed that process significantly. We now send most of our China-related requirements through one team. They coordinate the factories, summarize the important decisions, and only bring issues back to us when our input is genuinely required. This has not eliminated every supply chain problem - nothing can - but it has dramatically reduced the amount of management time those problems consume. Our team can now spend more time on product development and sales instead of chasing production updates at midnight.
